Global Youth Health Summit & Hackathon 2019

Join MD Junior for our third Global Youth Health Summit & Hackathon at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. MDJunior is a student run non-profit organization spanning 45 chapters across the globe, with the goal to empower youth in health through selfless service.

Youth attendees will attend empowering and inspiring keynotes and panel discussions with some of the leading minds in the field. The conference aims to bring together youth and leading professionals in global public health, nonprofits and organizations from all over the world, to create a forum that explores issues and solutions surrounding barriers that individuals face.

Who should participate

The conference is open to all - high school and college students, faculty, parents, interested community members and working professionals.

Why should you attend

The theme of the Summit is “Breaking Down Barriers”. The objective is to focus on how people can discover their true talents and potential. Additionally, it will focus on how students can defy expectations and truly achieve their goals in the healthcare, medical, or other entrepreneurial field despite what many say about the difficulties they will face. There is also a hackathon which will unite and inspire high school and college students from different backgrounds to create inventive solutions to issues facing the community. Who better to break down the barriers limiting individuals than the future generation of dedicated youth with the support of the global community!

Engage in Collaborative Community Learning:  Students and faculty will have a chance to engage and interact with attendees from all over Georgia and work together to have their needs understood and their voices heard. Attendees can expect a day of inspiring keynotes and panels that will motivate students to rise above the restrictions placed on them.

Gain Invaluable Leadership Training: Students will have the opportunity to learn from local and global leaders to become the future leaders of tomorrow.

Earn Youth Fellow Award: Students who participate in both the Hackathon and Conference will earn the coveted  "Youth Fellow” recognition & certification. Hackathon participants will also earn service hour credits.
